T bar S’s Ink Spot
T bar S’s Ink Spot is a solid black male with two brown eyes that was born at T bar S Catahoulas on February 19th, 2007. Ink Spot (Spot) is a cross between T bar S's Lefty, an OFA good, and Conch's Bodie, an OFA excellent.
How did Spot get his name? Spot was the last puppy from the litter. The NALC requires that puppies be registered by the time they are six months old. We knew we had to name him but did not have a name. We noticed that he has a spot on his tongue that looked like spilled ink. We decided to name him Ink Spot and he was registered as T bar S’s Ink Spot.
We took him to the show in Louisiana in September 2007 with the intent to sell him. We entered him in the 6-9 month male puppy class and he won the class. He went on to the Best of Show class and won Reserve Male. Spot bayed the hogs in our pen one time but has not showed a consistent interest in baying or treeing. He is a very obedient dog and could be shown in the obedience classes if we took the time to train him. He has been shown in Conformation and has placed every time he has been shown. Spot has the following wins:
NALC Louisiana fall show 2007 1st place 6-9 month old male
NALC Louisiana fall show 2007 Reserve of Show Male
NALC Mississippi 2007 1st place 6-9 month old male

NALC Louisiana 2009 4th place proven stud

NALC Texas 2009 3rd place hip certified male
What is Spot’s favorite toy? Spot loves to have a plush squeaky toy with him at all times. Spot will run through the house with the sole intent to find a toy. Once he finds his target he will grab it and run around until he finds his place. Spot always keeps a squeaky toy stashed in his kennel and usually tries to smuggle one outside if he can. Spot also likes to play with squeaky tennis balls and will play fetch with them.
Spot is a very nice dog with a great disposition. He is protective of our property but is very approachable away from home. Spot loves attention and will crawl into either of our laps if we let him.
Spot turned two in April and had his OFA x-rays taken then. Spot scored an OFA good. Spot has produced one litter of puppies. An accidental breeding that occurred with Florida Red Wolf’s Cajun Gypsy. We kept one puppy from that litter, T bar S’s T-Boo. We do not have any litters with Spot planned.
