Second Chance’s Lucy

Lucy is a dark leopard female with one blue eye and one amber eye that was born December 27^th, 2007 at Second Chance Catahoulas in Missoula, Montana.  She is a cross between BLT’s Buddy RD and Camano Island’s Gili.

Lucy lived in Montana until she was ten months old.  During that time she learned how to work cows.  We have not had the opportunity to continue her training but intend to as soon as we have cows available for training.

Lucy has not been trained for hogs or treeing and has only been shown twice in conformation.  Lucy did not place at the first show but did in her second show.

Lucy is a very sweet dog that loves to be close.  Lucy has a great temperament and disposition and has passed that on to her puppies.   Lucy is an OFA good that was bred one time to T bar S’s Phantom in April, 2008.  The puppies from that litter had great temperaments.  One of the male pups is currently training to be a medical alert/service dog.  We intend to cross Lucy and Phantom again when she comes into season.

What is Lucy’s favorite toy?  Lucy loves to play with anything that squeaks or talks and is soft.  She also likes the squeaky tennis balls. It is not unusual for Lucy to sneak into the house and run out with a stuffed toy.  Once she has the toy in her possession she will run and play all day without giving it up.
